Caged Giant pt. 2
Continuation of Caged Giant. Mild violence and romantic themes. She could still smell his scent on her. Her clothes, her backpack, her hair. His existence pervaded all of her senses, even weeks after their initial meeting. Such is the overwhelming presence of a giant. Lingering long after they are gone. Despite being part of a human reconnaissance group gathering intel on weapons used to fight giants, Lark was not the same person she was before meeting, and subsequently, freeing a titan. Unbeknownst to her human teammates, of course; she was not about to out herself as a traitor. Yet still, as she traveled in the back of the convoy’s Jeep, looking out at the dark forest, she had the nagging feeling that her betrayal would be discovered. The roads here were dirt, traveled lightly and discreetly by groups of people similar to the one Lark worked with. Utilizing the old growth trees to weave paths around protected them from titans. Paved roads were not an option during
