I'm in another Oil Painting class at the college to continue my education as an Art teacher. (yes...even after graduation you still have to go to school)
Our first assignment for OP 2 is to select a painter and mimic a painting of theirs. I chose Eric Joyner who is a phenomenal modern painter. His favorite topic: Robots and doughnuts! I loved his style and so I set off to do my favorite painting of his "the Final Blow".
His painting (which is FAR superior) is on the left and on the right is my meager attempt. I think I did pretty fair on the shading aspects but my proportions suck. There are robots who are too small or too big (as is evident) BUT I will say I am fairly proud of this and hope my next painting (which is already underway) will be much better.
